Committee Mission

The Madison Valley Ranchlands Group’s Weed Committee was formed in the fall of 1999 to administer privately raised funds and to provide private landowners with information, equipment, education and support to carry out the eradication of weeds in the Madison Valley.

The Committee will focus specifically on the elimination of weeds on both private and public lands. To achieve a weed-free environment the committee will work closely with local, county, state and national weed control organizations.

The Committee will accomplish weed-free lands by utilizing a plan based on the integration of proactive planning, identification, control and public education.

After 25 years of fundraising, the Weed Committee is continually humbled by the support of our hosts, our donors and our guests to the Annual Noxious Weed Fundraiser, which continues to be one of the most successful fundraisers in the Madison Valley. The event helps support the Weed Committee’s projects and leverage private and public grant monies for a variety of weed control and educational efforts.
